Running history:

My long and sometimes very winding road of road running started in Jan 1991. 

My first half marathonwas the Skukuza race in Aug 1991. 

I finished the racealmost half dead in 2h52. 

The greatest moment of thatrace, apart from finishing it, was when Bruce Fordyce

came back on the route to come and fetch me and runningwith me into the stadium.

Only in November 1999 did I dare to go further than 21.1 by running the RAC Tough One 32km.

In April 2006 I finished my first 12 hour circuit race.

I also finished Comrades for the first time in 2006. 

Soon after Comrades I got an invitation to run the Rhodes Trail Run. 

Here I found my passion in off-road and trail running and the ultra distance bug bit me. 

More 12 hour and 24 hour circuit races followed. 

28/29 April 2007 saw me finishing the ultimate Addo 100 miler trail run which was also my first 100 miler.
